Is that true? If so, even nominally, and if there is no audible difference, shouldn't that disqualify this feature from ever being included in a new version of the DAW? Someone says it uses more resources than the 32-bit floating engine. Look at the Steinberg forum when 9.5 came out. ![]() GNFinally, an honest answer from a Steinberg employee on this issue. Regarding sound, I will say you will not notice the difference. The engine was up until now 32bit floating point, and now it is 64bit floating point. ![]() That is a different kind of 64bit, he is talking about the new Mixing and Audio Engine, you are talking about 64bit processing.
